1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Daily Gist, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and the Apple Standard EULA. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

The Daily Gist is a mobile application that allows users to save links, view AI-generated summaries, and curate daily editions of content. The service includes features for sharing editions with others and following other users.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of The Daily Gist, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create or save in The Daily Gist. By using the service, you grant us a license to store, display, and share your content as necessary to provide the service, including public sharing when you choose to make editions public.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use The Daily Gist to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Share harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated means to access the service without permission

6. Third-Party Content

The Daily Gist allows you to save links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or opinions expressed on third-party websites. Links to external sites do not constitute endorsement.

7. Intellectual Property

The Daily Gist name, logo, and all related designs, text, graphics, and software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

The Daily Gist offers auto-renewable subscriptions to access premium features:

• The Daily Gist Monthly — $2.99/month (1-month subscription)
• The Daily Gist Yearly — $29.99/year (12-month subscription, equivalent to $2.50/month)

All new users receive a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, the subscription automatically renews at the selected price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions can be managed and cancelled in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Disclaimers

The Daily Gist is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Daily Gist shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
